Thinking Outside the Box!

Three friends got into a long discussion with as to whether or not the universe is infinite or finite.  The first friend said it was sort of a mixture of both. Like a sphere inside itself. Or something you see off in the distance, but no matter how fast you run or travel, you'll never get to it. The second friends argument was that the universe was infinite... That it goes forever with no ends, etc. The third friend said that its finite because there is an end, regardless of if you can get to the end of it. If you can see the end and its there, then yes, its finite. 

So, what do you think? Do you think the Universe is Infinite or Finite?

2 Ladies, 1 Ham!

So, today I got to suffer. Its wasn't the gym and its wasn't some crazy work thing. No, today I got to experience the Commissary on the first Saturday after Pay Day. The Commissary is the place where every evil, pushy, crazy, mean military wife likes to go to on the weekends. I like to think of it as the Olympics for grocery shopping.... get in, get out, with everything you need in less than 2 hours without getting hurt. Sometimes, the little old ladies there are so picky and crazy that it reminds me of a holiday sale where two women fight over the last ham. Now, I usually do my grocery shopping at the Commissary on the weekdays after 7pm because there are less people there but I wasn't able to make it during the week and we are out of food. So, unless I wanted to come off my diet and eat horribly bad at Taco Bell for the next couple of days, I had to go!

Now, there are four types of people you will run into at the Commissary on the weekend. The old group, the Trashy Group, the Officers Wives, and the "Normie's". The old group, I think is the worst! They think, because they are old, they get to run the whole place. I have respect for my elders, I really do. What I don't respect is an old person who thinks that I have to get down on my knees and kiss their feet. Then don't get me start on how they like to take up the whole isle (that is already small as it is) and they stand in the way, crash their buggies into people, cut you off, and give you nasty looks. 

My second pick are the trashy people. These are usually enlisted people, who will never see anything more than E3 or E4 because they lack motivation and are all around dirt bags and their wives are fat, nasty, and have a lot of kids. And by a lot, I don't mean 3 or 4, but more like 6 and one on the way. They smell, their kids are running all over the store, and they are yelling at them. This one woman was yelling at her kid at the top of her lungs, today. Her kid was just trying to ask her a question and she was saying "SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN. WHAT TIL WE GET HOME, YOUR DAD'S GONNA WHOOP YOUR ASS IF YOU DON'T SHUT UP!". Holy cow! She needed an ass whooping. There was also this woman who I witnessed walking into the store from her car but later saw her in an electric scooter cart. She got so mad at me when I wouldn't let her by me, as if I shamed someone with a disability. If she was actually disabled, and not obese, I would have been more than happy to let her by. I would have even helped her.  Also, waiting in the check out line, there were two women that were eating their food they had picked out, before it was bought. Now, I am not usually one to judge someone that has opened up chips or cookies while waiting in line, but these women were eating Hawaiian bread, chips, and donuts in the check out line. If they had access to a grill they would have been cooking the hot dogs they were buying. 

Now, onto the Officer's Wives. These women can go either way, but I find, at the commissary on the weekends, they tend to be nasty! And not nasty as in the last group I described, but nasty with their attitudes. They think they can skip in line, push you around and out of the way, and they are just in a bad mood all around. Maybe they are mad because their reserved parking space upfront, that is actually for their husbands to use, was taken when they got to the store? Their attitudes are so bad, I swear, they should just go to Whole Foods and shop there if they don't like the way things are at the Commissary. Then, there are the Normie's. The people that go there, know what they are getting, get out of the way while getting what they want, and then go to the check out line and get out. This is the group I would like to put myself in.

Well, I was able to get everything I needed, except squash, and get out of there in less than 2 hours today. The stress of the commissary is indeed different and I think from now on I will just eat the Taco Bell and chose to relax on the beach!

Dear Mr. Census Worker....

Dear Mr. Census Worker,

I promise I filled out my application. I love America so much that I filled it out the first time you sent it to me, the second time you sent it to me, and talked to the woman you sent to my door. That's THREE times! I think my husband is starting to get suspicious because I spend more time talking to you than I do any of my other friends. BTW, whats your sign?

You have to understand Mr. Census Worker, that it could never work with us. You are a temporary employee that receives bonuses based on your ability to get a response and highly encouraged to get me to answer as many questions as possible. I'm sorry, but I cant associate with low life scum, how would it look?

Tell me, Mr. Census Worker, how can I get you to stop calling me twice a day 4 days a week and sometimes on Sundays late a night? Do you really need to know how many times a day I pee, that bad? What if I told you "I'm afraid my trees are eating the elephants, now" or “We'll get along fine as soon as you realize I'm God” or “meow”? Would that confuse your little mind? Would you roll up in the fetal position under you desk and cry and shake?

Mr. Census Worker, can I ask you a question? Is your name really Thomas or is it actually Amjid? Did you know, that here in America, we have these things called Amendments and you are robbing me of my 4th amendment rights? Just to fill you in, in case you are actually a Thomas and you forgot or were too stupid to pass Government class, the 4th Amendment states ..."The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." When you ask my wages, my mortgage information, and what time and where I work, I see this as "seizing personal information." I will not comply. Thank you and please “DON'T COME AGAIN!”

Our oceans are dieing and tonight, Obama faces an angry American people who know he's been treating this as a non-important issue. Now, I am not a fan of our current president but I am not going to sit here and bash and blame him. Do I think he could have handled this better... yes. Do I think that his presidential address tonight is going to have an underline meaning of why we should push comprehensive energy reform...yes. And do I think that he is only doing something because he can't stand any negative press on his handling of the situation.... yes. But really, what do we expect the man to do now after weeks of leaking and very little being done, go out there with a bucket and strainer and scoop the oil up himself? Its time we, as a society, stop pointing fingers (even if they are in the right direction) and start coming up with a solution.

I sat here, tonight, and looked through pictures of this oil spill and cried. It made me want to hop on a plane and go down there and rescue every animal, fish, and plant in the ocean. Right now its mostly effecting the gulf, but what happens when it starts to really spread and go up the Atlantic coast? I was watching the news the other night with my husband and a segment on the oil spill came on. Some marine biologist that the news hired to do their research was talking about how the oil may creep up through the Atlantic and effect Virginia's coast. It seemed to be such a big deal to them because it may effect the tourist industry here! They weren't concerned about the wildlife or the beach. They were concerned about their own profit. It makes me sick! I wish people would stop thinking about themselves for once and start thinking about those that cant fend for themselves. Really, in the long run, its going to effect us. We are talking about an entire echo system of wildlife!

VIRGINIA .... GET OVER YOURSELVES!

First off, let me start by saying I HATE VIRGINIA! I hate this state so much. I have lived in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and now Virginia and have visited Indiana and North Carolina, Delaware, and PA for an extended period of time and Virginia is the worst! Everything here is backwards from the laws, taxes, and drivers!

People don't know how to drive. They speed up when someone puts their blinker on to prevent them from getting over, they slow down to half the speed limit when they see a cop, even if the cop is on the other side of the interstate pulling someone over and there isn't a chance in hell they are going to get pulled over themselves, they cant merge, they cant drive in traffic, they try to run you off the road, and they are just plain rude. I feel like every-time I get on the interstate I am gambling with my life. Do I need to take out an extra life insurance policy just to drive here?

The people are rude and have no concept of customer service! Every reastraunt I have been to has either gotten my order wrong, had horrible customer service that is rude and nasty, or both. Chick-Fil-A is even rude! How hard is it to get a smile? Be happy you have a job in this economy!

Don't even get my started on the cops and legal system here. Since we moved here we have been pulled over multiple times for ridiculous reasons! Mainly, we have been pulled over for tail lights that are “out” but when we go to replace them they work. So, now we carry around extra lights in the glove box just in case. Once, when coming home from work at 3AM, I was pulled over by a cop that decided to go out of his way to turn around and wait for me while I went through the Taco Bell drive thru. When he came to my window, he informed me that my window tint was too dark. At 3AM, on a dirty window, he ran his meeter checker on my tint and informed me that my tint was at 5%. I thought “there is no way” and checked it later on and it came back as legal. What a douche bag! Then, my husband got a ticket that he paid and because they processed it late, his license was suspended. The ticket was on time but it went into the system late. We have a receipt for this but they wont un-suspend it until he pays them 200 bucks or goes to court and talks to a judge. We have proof of their mistake, why wont they do the right thing?

Then all the taxes! OMG, all the taxes! 11% sales tax! Looking at a receipt from Farm Fresh the other day, I noticed I am paying 2 state taxes at the grocery store. Because Virginia is a commonwealth, they are allowed to make up their own rules. If they wanted, they could say “everyone on Sundays is required to wear a purple hate or you get a ticket” and could enforce it.

There are so many things about this state that irritate me and I could go on forever about them but I wont. Thank goodness we only have 6 months left here and I am hoping that we never have to come back here again. Being a Florida resident is so nice and I am very thankful for the privilege of being able to register my car there instead of in this “commonwealth”.

Its been a week and still no Dimes! Blizzard is taking forever to fix something they know is wrong. I dont care about my money, and honestly, I dont care about my gear at this point. I just want my hunter back! Being curious, I logged onto wow.com and checked my account out and apparently the douche bag that hacked my account transferred my character over to another server. So, wouldnt you think that blizzard would be able to just transfer it back?
